  • Ian Perrault — Website Accessibility Consultant

More and more, financial institutions and other mass market service providers are under pressure to ensure that their operations - in particular their websites - are accessible to those with disabilities.

Having reviewed multiple banking websites as well as those of other service providers, I can advise you and your organization on the status of your website’s accessibility as well as make recommendations for corrective actions.

My process is simple:  I will review your website, page by page, link by link and evaluate it for accessibility to the visually impaired.  I will recommend fixes that will assist you in successfully complying with both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and with Website Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

As not all accessibility issues are covered by the ADA or WCAG 2.1, I will further advise you by making practical recommendations for additional website content, so that visually impaired individuals can do business with you as independently as possible.  For example, I recently advised a regional bank to add easily-followed instructions for taking mass transit to their branch locations.

  • Below are links to two documents which detail the extensive ADA website review process. Following that are also a series of videos that demonstrate some of the daily and monthly tasks that I perform as part of my job at Brookline Bank.
